Environment & Climate
Sustainability is a top priority in our development work. Our goal is to keep our company’s impact on the climate and the environment as low as possible. In Scope 1 and 2, we are almost CO₂-neutral, apart from one vehicle and a gas heating system for space heating.

100 % green electricity
We use 100 % green electricity. A considerable share comes from our own photovoltaic system, which we have expanded to 163 kW. It is complemented by a battery storage system with a capacity of 215 kWh. Back in 2022, we fed 60 % more electricity into the grid than we consumed.
Driving electric
Our company fleet is almost completely electric, and so is our forklift. Charging is preferably done with solar power from our own roof, at four charging stations for employees and guests.
Efficient heating
In 2023, we installed a large 60 kW hybrid heat pump, insulated radiator niches and replaced radiators. In 2026, we renovated the roof and improved its insulation. Today, more than 85 % of our heating runs on electricity via the heat pump, and we generate a large share of that electricity ourselves. This brings us a big step closer to climate neutrality.
Short distances
We avoid long transport routes when manufacturing our components. Most of our supplied parts come from suppliers in our immediate area. Not all of them yet, but we are working to increase this share further.
Durable and modular
Our products are high-quality and built to last. Thanks to their modular design, older products can easily be retrofitted instead of replaced. This saves resources.
A home for bees
To protect bee species, we have created a large flower strip on our company grounds.
